Good to Know

Common Questions

How much bookkeeping do I need first?

Enough to be comfortable with ledgers. The early topics still cover the basics again.

How long will it take?

About 400 hours of work, spread across eighteen months of access.

How many AAT exams are there?

Five assessments in total. Finishing the Diploma waives three, leaving two to sit.

Who pays for those two exams?

The college covers one attempt on each. You book them with Pitman Training using a code from the Student Success Team.

Is there a deadline for the exams?

Yes. They must be done within twelve months of finishing the Diploma in Accounting.

What computer do I need?

AAT assessments need Windows 11 from 14 October 2025, with Microsoft Office installed on the machine.

Is this course accredited?

It is accredited by ICOES and the CPD Standards Office, and the college is an AAT Approved Training Provider. It is not a QQI course and not a national award. The value here is the AAT route: three assessments waived and two paid for.

Can I get my money back?

Yes. A 14 day money back guarantee applies, less the administration fee.
