Common Questions

Are there entry requirements?

None at all. There are no prerequisites to enrol.

What if I have studied accounting before?

You can apply for recognition of prior learning based on study or work experience.

How long is the access?

Twelve months, and the course runs to about 300 hours of study.

Does the college set exams?

The college sets none. AAT sets five assessments, and this diploma waives three.

How do the AAT exams work?

You book directly with Pitman Training. The college gives you a code for the exam and centre you choose.

What if I miss a booked exam?

The funded attempt is used. That applies if it is cancelled, missed or you cannot sit it.

Is this course accredited?

It is accredited by ICOES and the CPD Standards Office, and the college is an AAT Approved Training Provider. It is not a QQI course and not a national award. It is built to carry you toward AAT assessments, with three of the five waived.

When do the extra modules land?

Five more modules are due to be announced on 1 September 2026.
