Good to Know

Common Questions

Do I need a healthcare background?

None needed. It assumes you know no medical terms at all.

Do I need reception experience?

Not at all. The first certificate starts with the role itself.

How long will it take?

It is self paced. You start any day and set the speed.

Are there exams?

None, ever. Activities carry the assessment instead.

What does the terminology half cover?

Anatomy, equipment, drugs and each of the body systems.

What is included beyond the lessons?

IAHA membership, Career Centre access and a CV review.

Is this course accredited?

It is an industry accredited certificate. ICOES and the CPD Standards Office back it. That is not a QQI award and not a national qualification. In practice admin, knowing the words marks you out.

Can I use it to move into a practice?

That is what it is built for. Many students come from other fields.
