Who It’s For

Why Do This Course

Turn Yard Time Into Work

The daily jobs you already do, explained in order.

Look After Your Own Better

Feeding, feet, health and turnout, from the ground up.

Run The Place One Day

The last level covers events, facilities and running an enterprise.

Where The Skills Fit

Where These Skills Could Take You

Equine work runs on yards, studs, riding centres and events. Days look like mucking out, feeding, turnout, checking feet and keeping the routine tight.

Equine Care Specialist

Handle daily care across a string of horses.

Horse Welfare Officer

Watch condition, feed and living standards.

Stud Yard Coordinator

Keep a breeding yard on its routine.

Equestrian Centre Supervisor

Run the day shift at a riding centre.

Equine Event Assistant

Set up, steward and clear a show day.

Equine Programme Coordinator

Plan lesson and care schedules.

Roles where these skills are useful, not promised outcomes. Every yard is different, and most ask for hands on time with horses alongside study.

Good to Know

Common Questions

Do I need my own horse?

No. Plenty of students study before they have one.

Do I need experience?

No. The first level starts with handling and basic care.

Is there riding in it?

This one is about care, not lessons in the saddle. It covers exercise and conditioning, so you understand the work a horse does. The riding itself stays with your instructor.

Are there exams?

None, ever. You move at whatever pace suits you.

How long do I have?

Six months of access across the three levels.

Does it cover running a yard?

Yes. Facility design, events and enterprise are all in the advanced level.

Is this course accredited?

It is accredited by ICOES and the CPD Standards Office, and it earns CPD credits. It is not a QQI course and not a national award. Yards hire on how you handle a horse, and this gives you the reasoning behind good handling.

What if it is not for me?

There is a money back guarantee for the first fourteen days, less the admin fee.
