Maybe you want to coach people for a living and run it yourself. This pathway pairs psychology and counselling study with coaching models, goal setting and the business basics. Access runs a year and a half.
Counselling depth under the coaching craft.
The business side of coaching is in here.
Long enough to build while you work.
Coaching is open to anyone who can do the work, so many build it slowly on the side. The college suggests further training or a placement to build hands on practice.
Take your own clients and set your own hours.
Work with people on the long game.
Help people back into rooms they avoid.
Turn a vague plan into weekly steps.
Keep people going when the first push fades.
Build the client list and run it yourself.
Roles where these skills help, not promised outcomes. Counselling roles in Ireland need approved study and registration.
The coaching modules sit on top of the full psychology and counselling diploma.
What makes this the longer road.
Six programmes of psychology behind the coaching.
Plan, hold and close a coaching session well.
Inclusive practice, and knowing when to refer.
Covering the full pathway
Issued by the college when you finish.
A year with the International Association for Counselling.
Job listings, CV review and interview prep.
A side practice, or a full time one.
An advisor will tell you what coaching cannot cover.
Upfront, or weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
Enrol and open the first module.
None at all. The pathway starts from the beginning.
Eighteen months of access, and around four hundred hours of material.
None, ever. You move through the modules at your own speed.
Coaching is not a closed profession in Ireland, so yes. The business module covers how people set that up.
It carries ICOES and CPD Standards Office accreditation. It is not a QQI course and not a national award. It is built for skills and business practice.
It gives you depth most coaches never get. It does not qualify you to practise as a counsellor or psychotherapist in Ireland, and there is no route to registration in it.
That call sits with the institution you apply to. The college cannot promise credit or advanced standing.
A course advisor. Tell them your plan and ask if this fits.
This course is delivered by The Career Academy.
Its courses are accredited by ICOES and the CPD Standards Office. They are not QQI awards.
Picture the week your own diary fills with your own clients.
